Who we are

Straight Away Group LTD (“we”, “us”) helps people across the UK find work. We are responsible for the personal information you give us on this website.

What we collect

• When you join or apply: your name, email, phone number, the first part of your postcode, the job you’re interested in, whether you hold an SIA licence, and who referred you (if anyone).
• Own-vehicle drivers: your driving experience, vehicle type, date of birth, photos of your driving licence and passport, and your right-to-work share code.
• Van drivers: your progress with the delivery company’s application (for example, whether your documents have been sent), so we can remind you of next steps.
• On this device: your browser remembers a few things (such as which step you reached and your referral link) so you don’t have to start again. This stays on your phone and isn’t used for advertising.

How we use it

• To contact you about jobs by email, text and phone, because you agreed to this when you signed up.
• To check you meet the requirements for a role and pass your application to the company hiring.
• To send you reminders about your application and important information, such as insurance you need before starting.
• To keep track of referrals so the right person is credited.

The legal reasons we rely on are your consent, taking steps you’ve asked for before starting work, and our legitimate interest in running a fair and safe recruitment service.

Who we share it with

• The delivery company you’re applying to work with, so they can check you can start.
• Services we use to run this website and our admin: Google (forms, spreadsheets and email), Tally (document upload form) and Netlify (website hosting). They only process your details on our instructions.

We never sell your details or share them for marketing.

How long we keep it

We keep your contact details for as long as you’re on our waitlist, and for up to 12 months after we last heard from you. Copies of identity documents are deleted once the hiring company has finished its checks. You can ask us to delete your details sooner.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

• send you a copy of the information we hold about you;
• correct anything that’s wrong;
• delete your details;
• stop contacting you. Just reply “STOP” or email us.

Email straightawaygroup@gmail.com and we’ll reply within one month. If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
